I just saw a rare VW. The photo below is not my photo, but the car was identical (minus the stripe).
I- holy shit- I just saw a Scirocco. Same year, too. In the US, too.

Not sure, there’s a few of these around me. Even a Corrado with a Volkswagen Motorsports badge on it.
Then again, it’s hard to live in NJ without owning a German car...

Ausgezeichnet! I lusted after those cars back in the 80s, when I was driving my dad’s 82 Rabbit. I like those skirts.

There is a Sunoco station near me that always has a few of these and a few Corrados. I’ll have to snap a pic next time I drive by.

There used to be a couple of these (and a Corrado) on my high school parking lot. They are probably just fine red dust and oxidized rubber at this point.

i saw one drive down a cross street the other day while i was washing my car. I damn near broke my neck because for a second i thought maybe it was an audi coupe. Too be honest it still could’ve been. Classy as hell though!

Eh. Wouldn’t call it rare. Unsuccessful, yes, rare, no.
Plenty or them still kicking around in the South.
